Chandigarh, India’s first planned city and known as the ‘City Beautiful’, is a Union Territory (UT) and joint capital of Punjab and Haryana. Anchored by strong growth in IT/ITeS through the Rajiv Gandhi Chandigarh Technology Park (an SEZ), education, healthcare, retail, trade & repair services (35.4% of services GVA), real estate & professional services (25.7%), and financial services, Chandigarh is steadily evolving as a hub for innovation, knowledge-based industries, and sustainable urban development.
